Three dead fetuses were discovered inside a blue plastic box at a recycling facility in Liloan, Cebu, on Friday, June 13, at around 10:45 a.m.
According to the Liloan Police, a worker in charge of sorting recyclable plastics at a company in Purok Sibukaw, Cotcot, Liloan, found the fetuses while sorting materials. The plastics reportedly came from various provinces, including Bohol, Negros, Siquijor, and Cebu.
When the worker opened the plastic box, he was shocked to find three fully developed fetuses. Investigators noted that the fetuses still had wristbands attached, but there were no names or identifying marks that could link them to a specific hospital or birthing center.
Authorities quickly coordinated with the proper agencies to ensure the appropriate handling of the remains.
Police are now conducting a thorough investigation to determine where the fetuses came from and who may be responsible for the incident. Further details are expected as the inquiry progresses.
